Experiential Stations


Experiential stations allow individuals or small groups to explore science in a hands-on fashion. Instructions on how to build these stations and where to find/purchase optional materials are included in this section. The stations are:

Blind Spot - finding your blind spot

Cool Tool - finding cool receptors on your skin

Do the Stroop - comparing reading words vs. saying colors

Get the Point(s) - testing skin sensitivity to touch

Heads or Tails - using touch to determine the side of a coin

Memory Box - exploring how one remembers a group of objects

Phantom Limb - exploring how vision can alter self-perception

Tell Me About It - using verbal directions to build a structure

This Is Cool - discriminating between different temperatures

Try Angle - demonstrating that practice improves performance
